父与子英文读后感篇1
this is a story about a special and unreserved woman who has been exposed to a hostile environment but continuously and fearlessly struggling for her ideal life. the story can be interpreted as a symbol of the independent spirit.
it seems to me that many readers english reading experience starts with jane eyer. i am of no exception. as we refer to the movie “jane eyer”, it is not surprising to find some differences because of its being filmized and retold in a new way, but the spirit of the novel remains----to be an independent person, both physically and mentally.
jane eyer was a born resister, whose parents went off when she was very young, and her aunt, the only relative she had, treated her as badly as a ragtag. since janes education in lowwood orphanage began, she didnt get what she had been expecting--simply being regarded as a mon person, just the same as any other girl around. the suffers from being humiliated and devastated teach jane to be persevering and prize dignity over anything else.as a reward of revolting the ruthless oppression, jane got a chance to be a tutor in thornfield garden. there she made the acquaintance of lovely adele and that gardens owner, rochester, a man with warm heart despite a cold face outside. jane expected to change the life from then on, but fate had decided otherwise: after jane and rochester fell in love with each other and got down to get marry, she unfortunately came to know in fact rochester had got a legal wife, who seemed to be the shadow following rochester and led to his moodiness all the time ----rochester
was also a despairing person in need of salvation. jane did want to give him a hand, however, she made up her mind to leave, because she didnt want to betray her own principles, because she was jane eyer. the film has finally got a symbolist end: jane inherited a large number of legacies and finally returned. after finding rochesters misfortune brought by his original mad wife, jane chose to stay with him forever.
i dont know what others feel, but frankly speaking, i would rather regard the section that jane began her teaching job in thornfield as the films end----especially when i heard janes words “never in my life have i been awaken so happily.” for one thing, this ideal and brand-new beginning of life was what jane had been imagining for long as a suffering person; for another, this should be what the audiences with my views hoped her to get. but the professional judgment of producing films reminded me to wait for a totally different result: there must be something wrong ing with the excellence----perhaps not only should another section be added to enrich the story, but also we may see from the next transition of janes life that “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you would get.” (by forrest gumps mother, in the film “forrest gump”)
whats more, this film didnt end when jane left thornfield. for jane eyer herself, there should always be somewhere to realize her great ideal of being independent considering her fortitude, but for rochester, how he can get salvation? the film gives the answer tentatively: jane eventually got back to rochester. in fact, when jane met rochester for the first time, she scared his horse and made his heel strained, to a certain extent, which meant rochester would get retrieval because of jane. we can consider rochesters experiences as that of religion meaning. the fire by his frantic wife was the punishment for the cynicism early in his life. after it, rochester got the mercy of the god and the love of the woman whom he loved. here we can say: human nature and divinity get united perfectly in order to let such a story accord with the requirements of both two sides. the value of this film may be due to its efforts to explore a new way for the development of humanism under the faith of religion.
life is ceaselessly changing, but our living principles remain. firmly persisting for the rights of being independent gives us enough confidence and courage, which is like the beacon over the capriccioso sea of life. in the world of the film, we have found the stories of ourselves, which makes us so concerned about the fate of the dramatis personae.
in this era of rapid social and technological change leading to increasing life plexity and psychological displacement, both physical and mental effects on us call for a balance. we are likely to find ourselves bogged down in the sargasso sea of information overload and living unconsciousness. its our spirit that makes the life meaningful.
heart is the engine of body, brain is the resource of thought, and great films are the mirrors of life. indubitably, “jane eyer” is one of them.
父与子英文读后感篇2
jane eyre was published in 1847 under the androgynous pseudonym of “currer bell.” the publication was followed by widespread success. utilizing two literary traditions, the bildungsroman and the gothic novel, jane eyre is a powerful narrative with profound themes concerning genders, family, passion, and identity. it is unambiguously one of the most celebrated novels in british literature.
born in 1816, charlotte bronte was the third daughter of patrick bronte, an ambitious and intelligent clergyman. according to newsman, all the bronte children were unusually precocious and almost ferociously intelligent, and their informal and unorthodox educations under their father's tutelage nurtured these traits. patrick bronte shared his interests in literature with his children, toward whom he behaved as though they were his intellectual equals.
the bronte children read voraciously. charlotte's imagination was especially fired by the poetry of byron, whose brooding heroes served as the prototypes for characters in the bronte's juvenile writings as well as for such figures as mr. rochester in jane eyre 。 bronte's formal education was limited and sporadic – ten months at the age of 8 at cowan bridge clergy daughters' school (the model for lowood institution in jane eyre), eighteen months from the age of 14 at roe head school of miss margaret wooler (the model for ms. temple).
父与子英文读后感篇3
jane eyre — a beautiful souljane eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge insoul, obscure but self-respecting girl. after we close the coversof the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, jane eyre,a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think:we remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded ineyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and evenfor someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.we remember her pursuit of justice. it’s like a companion with thegoodness. but still, a virtuous person should promote the goodnesson one side and must check the badness on the other side.we remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality.in her opinion, everyone is the same at the god’s feet. thoughthere are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality.we also remember her striving for life, her toughness and herconfidence…when we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty faceor a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but ahuge charm of her personality.actually, she wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearancedidn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt feltdisgusted with it. and some others even thought that she was easyto look down on and to tease, so when miss ingram met jane eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much moreprettier than ‘the plain and ugly governess’. but as the littlegoverness had said: ‘do you think, because i am poor, obscure, plain, and little, i am soulless and heartless? you think wrong!’this is the idea of equality in jane eyre’s mind. god hadn’t givenher beauty and wealth, but instead, god gave her a kind mind and athinking brain. her idea of equality and self-respect impress us somuch and let us feel the power inside her body.in my mind, though a person’s beauty on the face can make othersonce feel that one is attractive and charming, if his or her mindisn’t the same beautiful as the appearance, such as beauty cannotlast for, when others find that the beauty which had charmed themwas only a falsity, it’s not true, they will like the person nomore. for a long time, only a person’s great virtue, a noble soul,a beautiful heart can be called as an everlasting beauty, just askahill gibran has said, that ‘beauty is a heart enflamed and a soulenchanted’. i can feel that how beauty really is, as we are allfleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of noblenessor humbleness, but fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether aman is of nobleness or humbleness, but as there are greatdifferences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether aman is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he isbeautiful or not.her story makes us thinking about life and we learn much from herexperience, at least, that is a fresh new recognition of the realbeauty.
父与子英文读后感篇4
reading a good book can affect a person. being with someone who is with you can affect your life. during my stay at home, i took "gone with the wind" from my bookshelf and savored the stories i described in the english world. the heroine of the story is bright and strong, she is brave and strong, she is optimistic, she struggles with life and she never gives in.
in the book, she is a beautiful woman with an angels face and a figure of the devil. and the most profound is her yearning for love and persistence. in the turbulent years of america, she married two men she didnt like, out of frustration with reality. in her love view, love and marriage can be separated; and in china, all the love affairs that do not take marriage as the purpose are rogues, which may be the phenomenon of eastern and western cultural differences.
it seems to us that many foreigners are very open, because they carry on the final process of the final flop. but in their eyes, our relationship is open. they believe that marriage is a sacred and serious thing that distinguishes it from love. they are surprised to see some young people falling in love without thinking about getting married and having children. and as the world moves forward, the world is becoming a global village, and these cultural differences are gradually shrinking.
for the heroine scarletts love view, put it in the current social perspective, will be a rational concept. in the modern society in the 21st century, women should have their own business, have the thought to be able to spell, and break out of their own little world; in this way we are not in a passive position in marriage, in other words, we can live together as equals. even with an attractive appearance, the body of the devil, we should not be obsessed with it and forget to add value to ourselves. the rebellious side of the heroine gives us the infinite inspiration of contemporary women.
in the treatment of love, we can be persistent, we can be brave to love; even if we encounter setbacks and injuries, we should look forward to it. in scarletts love in the world no late, when she lose ashley, thoroughly lost daughter, after her husband left her, she realized that her love was rhett, she put aside psychic trauma and remorse, believe that as long as you work hard and insist, can the heart of rhett.
in real life, we can not love passionately, but have a positive heart to face everything. the absence of love, or the lack of love, the explanation is that there is no point; still, there will be more wonderful waiting for you to uncover the veil. the waiting process can be beautiful. we often say that a persons wonderful. we can develop our own hobbies, invest in our specialties, work well, live well, treat you well, become confident, and your charm will be everywhere.
in the days of reading "gone with the wind", the portrayal of a strong image has made my heart grow stronger and stronger. beauty and not pride, have the mind, dare to do, i think is what i am longing for.
父与子英文读后感篇5
"not to be left forever in a riot, to be favored to have a bullying." eason chans red rose, how many peoples voices are heard. how many people see themselves or others in this song. and i seem to have seen the giggle of the troubled beauty.
"her heavy eardrop hanging on a long chain of gold, from neatly net with curly hair hangs down, swings around the brown eyes, the eyes like the winter leaves glittering in the bright of the lake, two brown leaf flash reflection from the quiet water of the lake", she is such a beautiful woman. as the daughter of a southern farmer, she is carefree, cheerful and cheerful, and her fathers doting has made her a proud, rebellious, stubborn and vain character. she is the heroine of gone with the wind -- scarlett. she is beautiful, but she is better at using her beauty, using some tricks, so there are many suitors around her. when she is keen to dance, only wear conspicuous clothes, shuttling between the man and become the centre of each ball, sinking looked at the men in her beauty, her heart is filled with pride. she walked around, refused to return, and watched the men fight for him and pay her respects, and she was just a little bullying.
and it was only ashley that she could not get. ashley was a gentleman, gentle, gentle, and a good book, and he was kind, which attracted scarlett. scarlett, surrounded by men, was confident that ashley loved her and belonged to her. so when she learned that ashley was about to marry melanie, she had an unprecedented anxiety and anxiety when she learned that ashley had not belonged to her. the unreable ashley kept stirring scarletts heart. she was relieved that ashley was fond of her, and would be penitant for herself, and dress up to attract mens attention. in the end ashley didnt run away with her as she had expected, and scarlett was married to him in a flash of lightning -- with melanies brother charles.
scarlett did not put down ashley, but with the civil war and the turmoil of her life. scarlett gradually realized that she did not like ashley so much. when ashley came back alive from the battlefield, he was ragged and haggard, and his noble qualities had vanished. when tara was suffering, ashley was weak. when ashley was managed by scarlett, he managed a lumber mill, but it was badly run. scarlett could not but acknowledge the years. in fact, i love only the perfect ashley, so many years of persistence because i didnt get it.
sometimes we struggle and persist for what we cant get, and forget whether it is a matter of thinking or feeling. it was like scarlett finally realized that she was really in love with rhett, before her obsession and obsession, just because she couldnt get it. there are always a lot of things in life that you cant get, but its time to let go and take a long view. sometimes, not get, dont, pay more attention to the people and things around them, polish their hearts, there will be other discoveries.
父与子英文读后感篇6
oliver twist one of the most famous works of charles dickens’ is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in britain in 18th century.
the author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in london.
the hero of this novel was oliver twist an orphan who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. he suffered enormous pain such as hunger thirst beating and abuse. while reading the tragic experiences of the little oliver i was shocked by his sufferings. i felt for the poor boy but at the same time i detested the evil fagin and the brutal bill. to my relief as was written in all the best stories the goodneeventually conquered devil and oliver lived a happy life in the end. one of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft little oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of mrs. maylie and rose and began a new life. he went for walks with them or rose read to him and he worked hard at his lessons. he felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.
how can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think it is the most important information implied in the novel by dickens-he believed that goodnecould conquer every difficulty. although i don’t think goodneis omnipotent yet i do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.
for me the nature of goodneis one of the most necessary character for a person. goodneis to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodneis an utterly worthleperson. on the contrary as the famous saying goes ‘the fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’ he who is with goodneundoubtedly is a happy and useful person. people receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.
父与子英文读后感篇7
after reading "a tale of two cities".
"a tale of two cities" is one of dickenss most important representative works.the novel profoundly exposed the society contradiction before the french revolution, intensely attacks the aristocratic social class is dissolute and cruel, and sincerely sympathizes with the depressed classes.the novel also described many magnificent scenes like the revolt people attacked bastille and so on,which displayed peoples great strength.
the novel has portrayed many different people. doctor manette is honest and kind but suffers the persecution actually , lucie is beautiful and gentle ,charles is graceful and noble, lorry is upright and honest ,sydney is semblance of indifferent, innermost feelings of warm, unconventional but also selfless and lofty, miss pross is straightforward and loyal, evremonde brothers are cruel and sinister……the complex hatred is hard to solve, the cruel revenge has made more hatreds, loves rebirth in the hell edge, but take the life as the price.
as an outstanding writer,in dickenss work, the language skill is essential.each kind of rhetoric technique, like the analogy, the exaggeration, the contrast, the humorous, and the taunt are handled skillfully, and the artistry of the work is also delivered the peak."a tale of two cities" has its difference with the general historical novel, its character and the main plot are all fictionalizes.with the broad real background of the french revolution, the author take the fictional character doctor manettes experience as the main clue, interweaves the unjust charge, love and revenge three independences but also incident cross-correlation stories together, the plot is criss-crossed,and the clue is complex.the author use narrates, foreshadowing, upholstery and so many techniques, causes the structure integrity and strictness, the plot winding anxious and rich of theatrical nature,it displayed the remarkable artistic skill.the style "a tale of two cities" is solemnity and melancholy, fills indignantion, but lacks the humor of the early works.
