父与子英文读后感篇1

i don’t know for sure whether it is the cold or the movie that kept me tossing and turning in bed, but one thing is certain: many scattered fragments of the movie again and again flashed in my mind. my cell phone read 4:16 am at that time, but i was not sleepy at all. so i decided to get up and write something.

"the pursuit of happyness" -- the title comes from a misspelled schoolhouse mural -- has a lot on its mind but mostly this: if america is about the promise of bettering oneself, why does it have to be so freaking hard? in the movie, jefferson's declaration of independence words about happiness kept recurring to chris gardner. every day, christ had to work hard from morning till night, but still could hardly make a living. chris saw a bunch of suits, mostly male, pouring out of the dean witter reynolds brokerage firm in downtown san francisco. they all looked “happy,” “why not me? “ christ wondered. he did have an adorable boy, christopher, but wife linda was becoming a scarecrow of overworked anxiety. finally, his wife left christ because of life pressure, leaving him and her five-year-old son, christopher. and naturally, christ became a single father.

with the failure of his business, christ had no money to pay for the rent, so they were driven away from the flat. they became homeless. they slept in asylum, subway station public bathroom or anywhere as a temporary shelter. the destitution of life was absolutely depressing, but for his son’s future, for his own belief, christ never gave up and he still strongly believed that happiness would come one day if he worked hard enough today.

with his great efforts, christ won a six-month internship at dean witter, but there was no pay at all. so on one hand, christ had to work hard to make a living; on the other hand, he had to fight for his intern work, since only one of the twenty interns would succeed finally. besides, he had to take good care of his son after day care. however, christ made it with his amazing willpower.

christ was unfortunate, for he got a wife who was not understandable at all (though she has her own difficulties) and was in bad luck with his business. but he was very fortunate also, for he got a son who was very thoughtful and, i think, tough life experiences always make a great person.

it is said that this movie is inspired by a true story, and i want to say, this movie does inspire me a lot. what impressed me most are: christ’s wife left him because of life pressure; christ’s love to his son and christ’s strong belief towards life. through these, i know that it is not easy to be a good husband and a good papa, since in reality, only love cannot only make everything. and i also learn that one has to strongly believe in himself, no matter how difficult the situation is, but of course, hard-working is indispensable.

i like to watch the pursuitof happyness.

from gardner, who realized that what i do is the real men and how to do good is the real father.

christopher was from, i feel the child's innocence and ignorance, how is the good son.

you gotta dream, you gotta protect it. if you have a dream, you theprotection on it.

this is a great father to his son's care and education christopher in many cases, we would like to see a movie may be silly to pass the time, saying that some of the good, or it may be trained to listen to hearing english spoken. this inspirational film, i look at it with the problem. what i can learn.

from despair to find hope out of society, have no choice but to work hard, as long as solely, nothing is insurmountable unless heaven or hell.

christopher's cute in his ignorance and innocence which christopher has always been the man could in his father through thick and thin,no complaints. i'm impressed the most is his father said to him "i trust you",

i think this is that they are able to gardner in countless ting in front of the biggest setbacks from the powerand reason.

父与子英文读后感篇2

the old man and the sea was written by an american writer named ernest hemingway. it has been translated into tens of languages, and the writer was so proud of his work.

santiago, the hero of the story, had gone eighty-four days without taking a fish back. at first, a boy named manolion had been with him, but santiago couldn’t catch even one fish. the boy had gone at his parents’ orders in a lucky boat which caught three good fish the first week, and the couple thought that it was definitely and finally bad to let their boy stay with the old fisherman. on santiago’s eighty-fifth day of fishing, he went out alone, leaving the smell of the land behind and rowing out into the clean early morning smell of ocean. to his surprise, he caught a tuna which he had never seen before and it was hard to believe that the tuna was bigger than his boat. later, the blood from the tuna left a trail for all sharks as wide as a highway, so fighting against sharks was unavoidable. the result was that sharks ate up all the meat of the tuna and santiago only brought the tuna skeleton back. he was so tired that he slept deeply as soon as he got home, dreaming of lions.

in this story, santiago was an old and poor widow though he was good at fishing and had so much valuable experience. he only lived on fishing all his life. at long last, he just brought the skeleton back, you may think such a fisherman should be a loser, but this result didn’t mean failing. on the contrary, hemingway used the skeleton which was the pillar of spirit to strengthen the meaning of the old man’s life. santiago was described as a perfect person who never gave up.

the boy named manolion appeared in the beginning and at the end. even during santiago’s voyage, he always came to the poor old man’s mind. he was the only person who cared santiago sincerely, trust santiago absolutely, and the young boy wanted to be an inheritor of santiago’s career. hemingway not only told us the experience of fishing should be spread from generation to generation, but also expected us to admire, to learn from and to carry on the spirit of santiago. the appearance of manilion was not by chance, which was arranged by hemingway. during santiago’s long voyage, how much he wished the boy could have been with him to drive his loneliness away. youth is the symbol of energy and hope. even an old man can be young inside. lions appeared several times in santiago’s dreams for they were living in his heart, which showed the spirit of santiago would never be low.

the coming of the sharks could not be avoided. they can be thought as attack which can swallow your success and happiness. the story tells me to face the problems happened in my life with a heart as wide as ocean. though the old man was lonely, he was a traveler who walked on the road of realizing his ideals. but he was not alone at the moment, for his will was so firm. the old man and the sea has won the nobel prize at last, which is a comfort to the writer.

父与子英文读后感篇3

human nature is a powerful, humanity itself has its own limits, but it is because of the old fisherman such people again and again to challenge the limits, beyond them, this limit was extended again and again, and again a greater challenge in front of human beings. in this sense, the old fisherman sangdeya brother this hero, whether they challenge limit is success or failure, is always worthy of our respect. because, he brings us is the most noble human self-confidence!

life is an endless pursuit. it is the road long, difficult and full of ups and downs, but, as long as he has a brave and confident heart to meet the challenge, he will always be a real winner!

父与子英文读后感篇4

jane eyre — a beautiful souljane eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge insoul, obscure but self-respecting girl. after we close the coversof the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, jane eyre,a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think:we remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded ineyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and evenfor someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.we remember her pursuit of justice. it’s like a companion with thegoodness. but still, a virtuous person should promote the goodnesson one side and must check the badness on the other side.we remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality.in her opinion, everyone is the same at the god’s feet. thoughthere are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality.we also remember her striving for life, her toughness and herconfidence…when we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty faceor a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but ahuge charm of her personality.actually, she wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearancedidn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt feltdisgusted with it. and some others even thought that she was easyto look down on and to tease, so when miss ingram met jane eyre, she seemed quite contemptuous, for that she was obviously much moreprettier than ‘the plain and ugly governess’. but as the littlegoverness had said: ‘do you think, because i am poor, obscure, plain, and little, i am soulless and heartless? you think wrong!’this is the idea of equality in jane eyre’s mind. god hadn’t givenher beauty and wealth, but instead, god gave her a kind mind and athinking brain. her idea of equality and self-respect impress us somuch and let us feel the power inside her body.in my mind, though a person’s beauty on the face can make othersonce feel that one is attractive and charming, if his or her mindisn’t the same beautiful as the appearance, such as beauty cannotlast for, when others find that the beauty which had charmed themwas only a falsity, it’s not true, they will like the person nomore. for a long time, only a person’s great virtue, a noble soul,a beautiful heart can be called as an everlasting beauty, just askahill gibran has said, that ‘beauty is a heart enflamed and a soulenchanted’. i can feel that how beauty really is, as we are allfleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of noblenessor humbleness, but fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether aman is of nobleness or humbleness, but as there are greatdifferences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether aman is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he isbeautiful or not.her story makes us thinking about life and we learn much from herexperience, at least, that is a fresh new recognition of the realbeauty.
