they have met in business. they have met in education. they have met in the arts. some people will argue that these meetings will leave us with a choice between east and west, but i believe that the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. we can make western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use. we can enjoy the best of both worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own.
i love beijing and hennan opera because it always reminds me of who i am. but i am also a fan of pop music, especially english songs. so i have combined eastern melody with western language. it is called western henna opera.
when two cultures meet, there may be things in one culture, which do not fit into the tradition of the other. when this happens, we need to learn to understand and respect the customs of another culture. then there are certain things some people may not like. to this, i will say, if you do not like it, please try to tolerate it. to learn to tolerate what you personally donsquo;t like is a great virtue at a time when different cultures mix and merge. before us, there are two rivers, eastern and western cultures. at present, they may run in different courses. but eventually, they will converge into the vast sea of human culture.

well, our first destination is, surely, the landmark of beijing, the symbol of the 5000 yearssquo;civilization—the forbidden city—where the emperors and empresses of the ming and qing dynasties lived, and itsquo;s really grand. it was renovated recently because of the coming olympics.
the second place we are going to is the great wall. this is the only building, i hear, that can been seen from the moon, and it represents the diligence and the wisdom of whole chinese nation.
now, itsquo;s time for lunch. we plan to have… what? you say beijing duck? yeah, right you are! wesquo;ll come back to the center of beijing, and wesquo;ll have dinner at quanjude restaurant. you can enjoy the most delicious chinese food—beijing duck, and you must be very pleased to hear this! then isquo;ll show you around the summer palace. itsquo;s the royal garden for the emperors and empresses of the qing dynasty to pass the hot summers.
after visiting those historical places, yousquo;ll surely be impressed by the long-lasting history of our great country. at the same time, during the journey of moving from one place of interest to another, we wonsquo;t miss having a glance of beijingsquo;s modern civilization. the skyscrapers, beautiful avenues and advanced facilities must also catch your eyes. and wesquo;ll also have a chance to experience beijingsquo;s fast development in person. wesquo;ll do some shopping at the shopping center near the olympics village. you can buy everything there of course except guns and drugs which are seriously forbidden in china. to see is to believe. what you see and experience will be strong prove of your choice to beijing, china!

there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china。 on the one hand， some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful， such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc。 on the other hand，the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china。 overwhelmed by such a trend，chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture。
with the further development of the whole world， the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important。 we are indeed from different nations， but we are the citizens of the same world， so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth。the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no。 what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture。 only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture。 only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us。

今天是我大学生涯的最后一次发言，我想和大家谈谈理想主义。胡适先生说，要多研究些问题，少谈些主义。我觉得这是对的，我们不能掉进乌托邦陷阱里。但是世事变迁，这已经是一个知识爆炸的时代，如果缺乏主义的引导，我们会不会把精力浪费在浩如烟海的问题当中呢?我始终相信，高等艺术的教育，它在培养我们要有显微镜的目光，还要有望远镜的观点，这也是理想主义对我们这一代人的要求。
四年的大学生活，我们把自己的智慧、勇敢、才情留在了戏剧学院。我们每一个人具体的生命齿轮都嵌进了戏剧学院这个巨大的链条里，我们和戏剧学院不可分离地生长在了一起。于是我们觉得四年太短，不愿意离开母校的怀抱，但我们迫切地希望被社会认可和接受。我们要向人们表达生活的真实和美丽，要向社会供给良知和常识，要攀登理性的高峰，要培育感性的花朵。这又是我们必须要离开校园的理由。
离开校园，意味着我们要离开熟悉的观众，离开了掌声雷动鲜花团簇的剧场，我们还要忍受挑剔和质疑。我曾经在上海电视台和四川电视台实习，认识了许多优秀的师哥师姐。但是我仍旧发现在整个广电系统的决策层，传媒产业链的上游，在资源和利益的分配上，缺乏我们上戏的声音。我们从来都不是游戏规则的制定者。
由于在劳资关系上的弱势，我们不得不把自己对艺术的理解简单抽象成领导的要求，客户的要求。我们批评工匠主义，但我们恰恰就是工匠。这正是理想主义的困境。也就是卢梭讲的，人生而自由，但无往不在枷锁当中。没有人强迫我们在业务上因循守旧，没有人强迫我们在生活上低落消沉，但我们的确这么做了。我的四年，就是理想和现实斗争的四年。
要知道四年前我们是领受着上戏先贤的召唤，从五湖四海汇聚而来。今天，我们是要肩负着上戏的殷切期待走出校门。我们所走的每一步，都会超越我们个人的价值。在更大层面上，我们是为了__学院它所认同的艺术原则和终极目标而工作。这就是今天我想谈的理想主义。
我们不断地调整自己的步伐，但是方向不会改变。因为我们有太多的不能辜负。我们的杨剑明老师曾经这么说，华山路630号是一个很神圣的地方，你们占据了一个天才的位置。我一直相信，艺术教育，是天才对天才的教育，我们都是要以个体生命扛起集体话语权的担当者。这是天才的位置。
四年前，我们只是算是艺术的火种，在悉心的呵护下，才成长为年轻的火把，刚刚离开校园，就要奋力向前奔跑，但不是去越过高山和深涧，我们是要走向黑暗。用光和热消除世界上蒙昧、寒冷和蛮荒，要让所有习惯黑暗的眼睛都习惯光明。如果可以用一条线把我们生命的终点连接起来，那么这条线就应该是人类文明的边界。这是天才的宿命。这是理想主义所不能抵达，但是我们一定要实现的终极目标。这是时代赋予戏剧学院的使命，也是我们被选择的理由。
老师同学们，有人说大学是理想主义的最后一块阵地，在激烈的竞争和巨大的诱惑面前，戏剧学院捍卫了艺术的尊严，我们也捍卫了青年的尊严。在这个过程中，理想主义是我们自我约束、自我发展的精神驱动，是我们曾经相聚的理由，也是今天出发的决心。理想主义影响了我们人生中最重要四年。
而在今后的日子里呢，我们就可以少谈些主义了。因为我们共同的生活即将变成最珍贵的回忆，它会陪伴我们度过未来所有的日子。我们会记起军训、校庆、排练、汇报，这些骄傲或者沮丧的瞬间是上戏人在茫茫人海中得以相认的信物。无论我们走的有多远，无论沧海桑田，它都是我们和母校不忘的约定。死生契阔与子成说，20__年6月26号，__学院20__届毕业生，这是我们共同的名字。

recently, ther is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? will we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?
the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.
the cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again,
the cynics are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. i believe in all my fellow classmates. though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. i believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. we are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. i believe in our future.
