由于我国人口素质还不够高，对生态系统缺乏认识、不了解自然规律，近年来，我国的自然环境和生态平衡已经遭到严重的破坏。
比如为取暖、做饭、盖房子大量破坏森林，进而造成水土流失、河道淤塞、洪水泛滥，由于城市无力供应干净能源，直接烧煤、烧柴造成空气污染，工厂用煤发电、没有对二氧化硫进行回收，造成空气中弥漫一氧化碳、二氧化硫粉末，出现酸雨损坏庄稼和建筑物的现象，由于城市垃圾、工厂废水来不及处理直接放入河道，使空气、水中及陆地上的生物受害造成生态不平衡，影响气候、影响人类健康生活条件，虽说我们国家地大物博，可是人均占有量占世界前列，这就要求我们对环境要做出适当的保护，我们即将跨入21世纪的大门 ，担当起主人的重任，我们能眼见着环境污染被破坏、而等闲视之吗?不，决不能，这就要求我们必须对环境做出适当的保护。
我们可以从身边一点一滴的小事做起，比如多植树造林，这就可以从根本上防止水土流失，爱护周围一草一木，不捕猎小动物等。
但这些光凭我们的努力还不够，还要号召我们身边的每一个人为保护环境而做出贡献。

once, my parents both go on business. i worry “where would i find food? how would i cook it?” actually i know little about cooking.
i can fill an empty stomach with tomato and egg soup, but that’s all. i think many of my classmates are the same. we don’t know what to do, or how to look after ourselves. so i don’t think teenagers get enough practice.
my friends said that they did their homework until 10 o’clock, it’s so late! most teenagers only have time for their homework. they don’t learn any life skills until they go to college.
but why this happens? in my opinion, many teenagers depend too much on their parents, and there is much more to learn than cooking, like” tidying up your room or even dressing yourself properly”.

本学期我已连续第二次被大家评选为班级的节电员。
我是一个性格内向的女孩，别看我平时不爱说话，但我会认认真真做好每一件事。
每次上体育课、上操、午餐时我都会操心把电灯、电扇关好，有时候其他同学也会帮我一起做，但我在离开教室前都会再确认一遍所有的电器都关好了，我才放心排队离开。
夏天上操后或体育课后，同学们回到教室，我也会根据天气情况帮大家开好电风扇，等大部分同学热气退了，我就及时关掉电扇，防止同学受凉生病。
有时课间路过卫生间，看到水龙头在滴水，我也会习惯性地走进去关好。
在学校我会和大家一起节约用电、用水，在家我也会将书本上学到的环境保护的知识一一实践。
比如：有时我会用妈妈漂洗过衣服的水擦地；有时我会用洗过米的水帮妈妈洗碗；随手关灯；也学习公益广告将家庭垃圾进行分类；并响应学校号召将废旧电池单独收集起来送到社区指定的回收点等等。
虽然这些小事做起来确实很麻烦，但我用我的行动保护了我们赖以生存的环境，我觉得很值得。
